Fitch's Corner is pleased to welcome back International Event Coach Grainne Sugars, coach of the Irish Junior Team and BHS instructor, for her ninth annual Fitch's Corner Eventing clinic. We are offering two-day groups limited to eight horses (Sunday/Monday), as well as Friday semi-private dressage/stadium sessions.
Reserve early, as this is Grainne’s only US clinic, and space is limited. It is also the only time to school at Fitch’s Corner before the horse trials on July 25th, 26th, and 27th.
A - ENTRY LEVEL - Beginner Novice and Novice level rider/horse
with jumps 2'6" - 2'11"
Concentration on pace, balance and form over gymnastics and stadium
course on day one. Cross-country jumping on day two, with introduction
to water, banks, and other BN and Novice fences. Some eventing experience
is required.
B - MOVING UP - Novice and Training level rider/horse with jumps 2’11” – 3’3”
Development of lines, combinations, and corners in stadium on day one. Cross-country jumping on day two will include water complex, banks, ditch and multiple elements.
C- CONFIRMED - Training and Preliminary level rider/horse with jumps 3’3” – 3’6”
Refine riding techniques for more complex questions, speed, confidence with corners, triples and bending lines over gymnastics and a stadium course on day one. Cross-country on day two will include riding over difficult terrain, water complex with elements, banks, corners, ditches and combinations.
2008 CLINIC
We offer the following two options:
#1: 1 ½ hour private or semi-private dressage/stadium lessons on Friday with limited XC schooling if desired: $200
The groups will be divided into A,B & C divisions as described to the left.
#2: Riders to ride two hours on Sunday and two hours on Monday: dressage, stadium and cross country: $350
